In der vorliegenden Seminararbeit wird demnach ein Einblick in die organisatorische Struktur und den Aufgabenbereich des Deutschen Presserates gegeben. Zuvor wird allerdings noch die historische Entstehung und Notwendigkeit zur Gründung eines Presserates in Deutschland erläutert. Anschließend werden die vom Deutschen Presserat entwickelten publizistischen Grundsätze (Pressekodex), additionally die für die journalistische Sorgfaltspflicht wichtigen Richtlinien vorgestellt, welche die Regeln für die tägliche Arbeit von Journalisten sind.
